Requirements for installing above-ground gas tanks

1. The tank must be installed outside the residential building and within the building's outer walls. It is prohibited to install it outside the building's wall, inside the building, in the basement, or in any kind of excavation.

2. Installing the tank on top of the building is prohibited.

3. The gas tank must be installed within a distance of no more than 25 meters from the refueling vehicle's parking area.

4. The ability to lift and remove the tank in emergency situations.

5. A ground connection is made to protect against the accumulation of static electrical charges on the tank body for tanks with a load exceeding 2000 liters.

6. A 15 cm thick concrete base is constructed to install the tank on, ensuring the tank is in a stable position.

7. Ensure that all required distances are available (as per the table below) between the safety valve of the above/below ground-mounted tank and sources of sparks, wooden and concrete buildings, flammable liquid tanks, building openings, and the distance between gas tanks.

8. The tank must not be installed in an enclosed area that allows gas to accumulate. The tank must be located in a well-ventilated area.

9. If tanks are likely to be located in parking areas, they must be protected by installing iron barriers.

10. It is prohibited to install tanks in a way that obstructs emergency exits and staircases.

11. Ensure that a parking space is provided for the water tanker to facilitate the filling process.
